MAJORS

The "Major" division is for players who are league age 9 - 12 only.  Spring rosters have 12 players per team.  In the fall season rosters range from 10-13 players per team, typically.  This division is a more competitive but still fun and instructional division.  This is a kid pitch exclusively division.  A continuous batting order is optional in the fall season and is implemented by the league division wide.

One of the biggest changes for players and parents to adjust to is that from the Major Division upward playing time rules change for players.  Please see little league international blue book rules.  Players will play no less than 6 consecutive outs defensively and no less than 1 at bat per standard 6 inning game.

Games are played on weeknights primarily with the possibility of a weekend game.  There will also be an opportunity for the teams to travel and play teams from other leagues (may be Saturday games for tournaments or inter league play).

Coach / Friend requests are not granted in this division.  In Spring players must be drafted onto a team.  Fall Ball rosters are kept together from the Spring season(s) teams and new players to the division are added to existing team rosters and designed to keep league competitive based on information given/known to the league.  Once a player is drafted to a team, they remain on that roster through the players league age eligible time in the Major Division (IE player drafted at league age 10 will remain on that roster for any spring and fall ball seasons registered through league age 12 spring season a total of 2.5 years or 5 playing seasons).  A player who is drafted in the Spring would thus remain on that team the following fall seasons until aging into the Junior division.  Any player moved must be approved by managers of the respective teams and then the leagues player agent as well as members of the board.

In the spring season there is a tryout that players must attend to be eligible for the draft by a major division team.  All players who register for the spring season who are league ages 9, 10, 11, or 12 are assigned a tryout time by the league to be evaluated by the major managers to be considered for their team’s draft.  All league age 12 players will be drafted to a major team’s roster.

FALL MAJOR DIVISION RULES

                                                                                      Fall Major Division Rules

1.) Regular season games are 6 innings or 2 hours, whichever is first.  Tournament games are 6 innings or 2 hours 15 minutes, whichever is first.

2.) No new inning after 8:30 PM for regular season games and no new inning after 8:45 PM for tournament games.  If an inning is started it must be completed per normal baseball (if the home team is winning and time threshold passes the game is complete).  A new inning officially begins when the last out is recorded in the previous inning.

3.)  All teams must use the Game Changer Team Manager app.  The home team is the official scorer.

4.) Managers must exchange line up cards prior to the game.  Line up cards are to include full first name, last name, and jersey number.  Any changes to the lineup card must be communicated to the umpire. Managers must also announce ineligible pitchers during plate meeting - discrepancies to be discussed at the plate meeting.

5.) In regular season & tournament games innings 1-2 there is a 5-run rule limit.  In innings 3-6 there is no limit.

6.) Teams will have a continuous batting order in the regular season.  Tournament games are per blue book.

7.) Substitutions must be rotated.  Everyone sits once before someone sits twice.  Tournament games are per blue book.  Teams must suit 8 players in a tournament game or forfeit.

8.) All other rules are per blue book.

9.) The home team is responsible for providing a home plate umpire.  The Away team is responsible for providing a base umpire.  When the league provides an umpire both teams are relieved of this responsibility.  Proper gear must be worn and returned to the field following the game.

10.) Please remind players to clean out dugouts and families to clean up spectator areas prior to leaving the field.

11.) Remember Trinity Little League is a NO SMOKING park.  We do not allow the use of tobacco products during practices and/or games.  The designated smoking areas are located past the bullpens on all fields.

Please remember the reason we all get involved is for the kids.  Please make sure they learn not only the game of baseball but also good sportsmanship, discipline, and respect for others.  Most of all HAVE FUN!!
